Delgado picked up double wins in the final day of the 2011 Louis “Rags” Scheuermann Memorial Tournament at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.

In the first game, Delgado took an early 5-0 lead in the first inning and picked up additional runs in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th inning to secure the 8-1 lead over the College of Dupage (IL). Chad Gough-Fortenberry went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI, Scott Fabre went 1 for 4 with a triple and an RBI, and Matt Smith went 1 for 2 with a double and 2RBI. 

In Game 2, Delgado took a 1-0 lead in the first following an RBI double by Chad Gough-Fortenberry. The Dolphins scored two in the fifth and one in the sixth to overcome Pensacola State College 4-1 and take the Saturday double header victory. Delgado was led by Fortenberry (1 for 3, 1 RBI), Alex Prestenbach (1 for 3, 1RBI), and Harold Toscano (1 for 2, 1RBI). 

Delgado (5-1) will travel to Wesson, MS on Wednesday for a 3:00 p.m. Doubleheader against Copiah-Lincoln.
