Delgado opened its weekend series in Pensacola with a bang, defeating the Pirates 11-5 in Friday afternoon’s matchup. 

Delgado was led by Sean McMullen, who went 3 for 4 with three home runs, driving in 6 runs in total. Alex Prestenbach was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Lyndon Eusea picked up his first win of the season on the mound, pitching five and allowing three earned runs. Josh Wood pitched two innings in relief. 

With the win, Delgado improves to 8-1 on the season. The Dolphins will continue the weekend series on Saturday afternoon with a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader in Pensacola. Delgado will face Gordon College in Game 1 at 3:00 p.m., followed by the nightcap against Pensacola State at 6:00 p.m.
