Daniel Brockhoeft’s solo homerun in the first lifted Delgado to a 1-0 lead, which they held until the bottom of the sixth when Pensacola State scored following a single by Austin Farrell to tie the game 1-1. The Pirates picked up their second and eventual winning run in the bottom of the seventh when Jonathan Berry singled to score Evan Shults, who had reached base on an infield error. Ryan Williams (1-1) got the loss on the mound in relief of Stone Speer.  

Delgado (10-2) will travel to Southwest Mississippi on Tuesday for a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader.
