Delgado swept St. Charles Community College in their doubleheader matchup on Friday afternoon at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.  In the first game, Delgado broke a 6-6 tie in the bottom of the sixth, scoring three runs to close the scoring at 9-6. Scott Fabre went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and a double and Matt Smith went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI to lead the Dolphins offensively. Jake Fabre went the distance on the mound, picking up his fourth win of the season. 

Nate Fury retired the last nine batters he faced to finish off the Dolphins’ 4-1 victory in game two of the doubleheader. Fury struck out 11 batters and walked only two. Chad Gough-Fortenberry went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI to lead Delgado offensively. 

With the wins, Delgado improves to 21-4 and will return to action next Thursday against McHenry County College.
