Delgado fell to Baton Rouge Community College 7-3 on Saturday afternoon to force the if-necessary game of the 2011 Region XXIII Tournament.

Scott Fabre’s solo homerun in the top of the first opened the scoring before Baton Rouge scored four runs in the bottom of the inning. Baton Rouge picked up two additional runs in the third and a single run in the fifth. James Davis’ single in the sixth scored Alex Prestenbach, who had reached with a leadoff double. Chad Gough-Fortenberry’s RBI double scored Scott Fabre in the ninth to close the offense.

Nate Fury picked up the loss on the mound. As a result of the loss, Delgado and Baton Rouge will meet again at 1:00 on Sunday afternoon in the Region XXIII Championship game at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.
