The Dolphins dropped their pair of games against Pearl River Community College on Thursday evening in Poplarville, Mississippi. 

In the Women’s game, Delgado trailed by ten at the half and could not recover, resulting in the team’s 64-53 loss to Pearl River. Raven Holmes scored 14 points, Shaquinta James scored 13 and Erne Snowden scoring 8. 

The Men also suffered a loss to the Wildcats, falling 100-83. Darrell Williams scored 21, Renard Smith scored 19, and Rashaun Claiborne scored 15 to lead the Dolphin scoring. Delgado will play the Loyola J.V. at 7:00 tomorrow evening at Loyola.

The Dolphins returned to the Williamson Center for their second home stand of the season against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Tuesday evening.

The Lady Dolphins trailed 26-15 at the half and failed to overcome the Bulldogs in their 60-49 loss. Shaquinta James scored 18 points and Kayla Jackson scored 12 for Delgado, who falls to a 1-2 overall record in their second loss to Mississippi Gulf Coast this season.

The Delgado Men topped the Bulldogs 90-86 following an exciting, back and forth contest with their Gulf Coast rivals. The Dolphins (2-1) were led by several double-digit scorers including Darrell Williams (21), Renard Smith scored (20), Jauries Thomas (14), and Rashaun Claiborne (12). Delgado will continue their home stand this Saturday afternoon against Bishop State. The Women tip off at 2:00, followed by the Men’s game at 4:00. The Dolphins will also be celebrating Homecoming this weekend.
