The Lady Dolphins are pleased to welcome their latest Letter of Intent signees, Deangenee’ Thomas and Heidi Smith. Both ladies come to Delgado from Ville Platt High School and will join the Dolphins for classes this fall.

In the Ladies’ game, Delgado held a two-point lead at half, but it was not enough to hold back the Bears en route to a 51-48 loss. Delgado was led by Brittany Walker, who scored 17 points, Raven Holmes (8), Erne Snowden (6), Myaisha Nixon (5), and Ariente Williams and Shaquinta James with 4 points each. In the Men’s match-up, the Dolphins took a 37-31 halftime lead, which eventually led to their 75-70 victory over Southwest Mississippi. Rashaun Claiborne led the scoring with 18 points, followed by Jauries Thomas (17), Darrell Williams (13), Josh Major (9), and Renard Smith (8).

Delgado will travel to Poplarville, Mississippi on Thursday to face Pearl River Community College, the Women’s game at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Men’s game at 7:00 p.m. The Dolphins will also face Pearl River in Delgado’s next home game on January 3.
